British Birdwatching Fair ticketing case study

British Birdwatching Fair ticketing case study

The British Birdwatching Fair has come a long way from its humble beginnings in 1989. The idea evolved from a local event held in 1987 at Rutland Water Nature Reserve called “The Wildfowl Bonanza”. The event was a great success and after much deliberation, the idea of a birdwatchers’ fair was hatched. The Fair takes place on the nature reserve at Rutland Water which itself is a huge water storage reservoir owned by Anglian Water. The nature reserve is a RAMSAR and Special Protection Area and is managed by The Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust.

Event Information

In excess of 20,000 visitors now attend the Fair annually and over 300 exhibitors display their products.

After contacting numerous ticketing companies, ticketscript was the only company who could offer us a comprehensive and complete ticketing package. Ticketscript's software has enabled us to set up several different ticketshops for the different events that we host and the ticketscript team have always been very efficient in dealing with the more technical side. Once our ticket shops had been set up, our Ticketscript account manager visited our office to demonstrate how it all worked, showing us all the hints and tips we would need to make the most of the software. By incorporating ticketscript's ticketshop into our website, it looks all the more professional and offers a much easier, hassle-free ticket-buying experience for our visitors. We would thoroughly recommend ticketscript to anyone looking to go down the e-ticketing route and we look forward to working with ticketscript for the foreseeable future!
