London, 12 March 2012 – Ticketscript, European leader in online, mobile and social ticketing solutions, has won the German Innovationspreis-IT award. Ticketscript's solution was selected from over 2,500 submissions to win the “industry software solution” category. This is the latest award that ticketscript has won, following being a finalist in the UK Event Awards, nominated for the Accenture Innovation Awards and most recently being nominated for the Dutch Cross Borders Online Shop award.
The Innovationspreis-IT takes place annually, and is in it’s ninth year in 2012. The winners were announced last Friday at the award ceremony at the CeBIT in Hannover, Germany. The criteria for the judge’s decision included the level of innovation (innovation, product maturity, and future development), the benefits (recognisable benefits, impact on profitability, efficiency) and the qualification for mid sized companies (practicality and implementation).
"We are delighted to have won the Innovationspreis-IT. Innovation drives our business, our solution is always at the cutting edge of new developments in online ticketing and winning this award confirms this,“ said Frans Jonker, CEO ticketscript. Ticketscript provides over 30,000 events with a plug-and-play ticketshop that enables event organisers to sell tickets and promote events online, on Facebook and through mobile phones. The web application arranges the purchase and delivery of e-tickets and mobile tickets and gives access to a mobile event app. The tool also provides access to a sales network of over 1,150 physical sales outlets in Europe, including Free Record Shop & HMV.
In addition to winning the Innovationspreis-IT, ticketscript has also been nominated for The Dutch Cross Border – Thuiswinkel Award (Online Shopping Award). The winner for 2012 will be announced on 29 March 2012. The award will go to the Online Shop which is the most successful in several EU countries. Other nominees are: Transavia, Thuisbezorgd & Intrastores. The winner will be the Dutch delegate for the Global E-commerce Summit in Barcelona on June 2012.
