Our clients are all very dear to us, so when their outstanding efforts are recognised in the form of an official award, we share in the delight and want to spread the news too. The 2014 AIM Independent Music Awards took place last week and our brilliant client Barn On The Farm scooped a fantastic win, alongside fellow winners such as London Grammar, Arctic Monkeys and label Hyperdub.
BOTF Promoter Joshua Sanger was kind enough to take a few moments to share with us his experiences and views on the ever-popular UK festival scene. Thanks to Josh, Alice Matthews and Oscar Matthews (pictured), for their time here and, of course, for being such a pleasure to work with.
What makes a great festival?
Live music should be about creating a connection and bringing people together for a special experience. I don’t think there are enough live events that are based around bringing to life that connection. That’s what we’re trying to do and will continue to do develop.
How is a festival like yours different to the giants?
Barn on the Farm is an intimate affair that breaks the boundaries between audience and artist. We strive to create a connection, a festival family, that comes together to enjoy a special and unique experience year on year.
What kind of artists have played with you in the last five years?
Ed Sheeran, Ben Howard, Bastille, Gabrielle Aplin, George Ezra, Matt Corby, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Hozier, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Chloe Howl and many many more.
How does ticketscript support you?
ticketscript have developed a personal service that is incredibly supportive. You can tell that they love what they do and that rubs off on everyone from the organisers to the people purchasing the tickets.
Favourite moment from this year’s festival?
Personally it has to be watching Catfish and the Bottlemen. They are going to have such an incredible career and to see them in such a small space made me a very happy chap!
How’s 2015 shaping up?
Given that we’ve set the bar high with winning the Best Independent Festival award you can expect us to give it all we’ve got.

The date is set for 2015 as 3-5th July, and the release date for tickets will be announced soon – a key part of what makes these guys so successful is their planning and their sales strategy. They work closely with our Senior Account Manager Will; here are some of his tips for going on sale.
