Facebook is helping event organisers to sell tickets to their events by adding a new Tickets link option to their event creation window. This allows you to add a direct link to the event, displayed on the event page, timeline posts and personal event agendas , showing where customers can purchase tickets. The “Buy tickets” option is being introduced as a new feature for all Facebook Event Page owners who want to stimulate ticket purchases.
The previous option for event organisers was to include a bold URL link to their ticketshop in their event page details box. This new feature provides yet another simple and quick way to garner more attention, promote your ticketshop and potentially boost Facebook ticket sales. Follow these steps to add your Facebook ticketshop link to a Facebook event.
Remember to include all the vital information your customers will need in the Details box, including extra information such as line-up, dress code, parking information and age restrictions.
