Last month, Facebook announced the introduction of a call-to-action button on Pages. The aim behind this is to help brands drive business from Pages. This button is located next to the ‘Like’ button on the cover photo of a Page. Currently, Facebook allows Page admins to select from a list of call-to-action buttons, like Book Now or Shop Now. The button can be linked to any URL, either on or off Facebook.
“Pages are an important destination for people on Facebook, and we’re building new ways for people to interact with businesses through them,” commented Facebook in its blog announcement. “Designed to bring a business’ most important objective to the forefront of its Facebook presence, call-to-action buttons link to any destination on or off Facebook that aligns with a business’ goals.”
This is a great addition as it gives you another way to sell tickets through Facebook and give even more prominence to your event page and ticketshop on your Facebook page. So, how do you set up the call-to-action button on Facebook? Easy! Just follow these three simple steps, but before you do, make sure your a Page admin to the Page you’d like to add the call-to-action button to.
Go to the Page’s cover photo area, and click the ‘Create Call-to-Action’ button
Choose the call-to-action button and insert your destination URL.
And you’re done! You can even track the number of people who’ve clicked on your call-to-action button on the Insights section of your Page.
