What are the UK’s 7 Tastiest Food & Drink Events of 2014?

Despite what some of the world may think of our culinary habits, the British have developed quite the penchant for good food in recent years. Maybe the passion has always been simmering below the surface, but the wild success of recent food-based TV franchises is spreading to the events world. A wonderful variety of food and drink events takes place across the country each year.

Of course, there is the substantial Taste of London, and at the other end of the scale there are dozens of great independent events popping up throughout the capital at any given moment.

However, to highlight that it’s not just a London thing, and with our enthusiasm for spirited entrepreneurs and eclectic events, here’s a few interesting ones from all over our fair isles. Consider popping them in your calendar – follow the links to check when the touring events are in a town near you.

25th May, West Sussex

What is it?
A gathering of markets, food and wine masterclasses accompanied by folk, swing and jazz in a barn, a children’s zone and dozens of wonderful suppliers. It’s all with a charitable edge too – 10% of gate receipts go to The South of England Agricultural Society Educational Fund which aims to increase children’s awareness of the provenance of their food and learn the values of healthy and ethical eating at an early age.
