This week we were very excited to announce a deal with Live Promotions to provide ticketing for its UK events over the next three years. The deal will see more than 1.5 million tickets sold through our platform for events such as Truckfest, the Land Rover International Owners Show, and Race Retro. ticketscript was selected by Live Promotions after a multi-provider tender process.
The deal represents a continuation of the strong momentum we’ve built over the past year, closely following the sale of our 10 millionth ticket.
Recognising the potential to grow its community of loyal and active customers, Live Promotions has embraced ticketscript’s digital ticketing solution, with Facebook integration. This allows the company to provide a wider range of ticket-buying options, build its social community, and provide its customers with an overall better service.
The move will also allow Live Promotions to take advantage of the benefits of moving to a digital solution, including gaining full control of its data. This will provide the company with valuable insights on the habits of its dedicated community, something it was unable to do with its previous, traditional ticketing model.
Founded in 1972, Live Promotions has worked with companies such as Austin Rover, Allied Breweries, as well as running Truckfest – Europe’s biggest trucking festival with over 25,000 attendees per event – which it originally set up 30 years ago.
Tom Siddall, Director of Live Promotions said: “Our showcase events such as Truckfest have a very loyal following, so we are continuously looking for ways in which we can provide them with a better service. Our move to ticketscript’s technology will drastically modernise and improve the way we sell tickets. It will be easier for our customers to buy tickets, through a platform that is more in tune with their everyday habits. It is also refreshing to work with a ticketing company that gives us full control over our data, ensuring we can continually improve the way we run and organise our events.”
Frans Jonker, ticketscript CEO, said: “We are dedicated to empowering event organisers to run successful and profitable events, by providing technological innovation that drives the industry. We want to work with companies that are similarly forward-thinking, therefore the opportunity to help Live Promotions modernise their ticketing was very appealing. This deal means that over the next three years, 1.5 million event-goers will enjoy an easier, more convenient, and seamless experience at the events they love attending.”
Our Chief Commercial Officer, Jason Thomas, also added “The industry is at a tipping point, with the growth of digital and social technology having fundamentally changed the way consumers want to buy tickets. This deal is further evidence of this trend, and means Live Promotions is well placed to grow its loyal customer base over the coming years.”
