If you are setting up a series of events or an event that takes place over several days, then you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find information about sections within the set up process that you need to seamlessly set up your event, so let’s get started.
When you get to the Event type & date
When selecting ‘multiple days’ on the event time section, place the start and end date of your event. Once you’ve entered this information, click on the edit (pencil) button next to your start date. A pop-up menu will appear asking you to place your ticket allocation for each day.
TIP: Make sure you put a ticket allocation for each day because if any day has zero allocation it will restrict ticket buyers from selecting that date on the calendar.
When selecting ‘continuous’ on the event time section, place the start and end date for your series of events. Once you’ve enter this information, click on the edit (pencil) button next to your start date. A pop-up menu will appear asking you to turn off the day(s) when the event isn’t happening (if applicable) or if there is a given date(s) that the event isn’t happening (‘add date exception’).
When you create all your ticket types, you will see a ‘fill in the grid/table’ section. When you click on the ‘grid’ icon, it will take you to the ‘Availability’ section. This is where you determine which tickets are visible on what day in your ticketshop – you do this by switching the ticket type on or off. This function also determines what tickets can be scanned on what day using the entrance management scanning solution.
The drop-down menu distinguishes whether your event will be shown in a calendar or list view on the ticketshop. When you select ‘one day’ or ‘all days’ from the menu, a calendar view will appear as the first step of the ticketshop, where your ticket buyers can choose what day they’d like to purchase a ticket. When you select ‘one random day’, your ticket types will appear in a list form. If you select this option for one of your ticket types, all the other ticket types must also have this option, or else they won’t appear in your ticketshop.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you’ve put all the right information for each ticket type, because once a sale happens, you can’t change any information for that particular ticket.
