Ticketscript, social and mobile ticketing provider for over 30,000 events across Europe, embraces chip & pin MPOS to maximise ticket sales by adding an additional sales channel at the door.
The new system will effectively be a mobile box office solution enabling tickets to be sold on the door, giving event organisers a 360 degree selling window. Organisers will have the ability to sell advance tickets through their event website, Facebook fanpage, and physical stores, and now last minute ticket sales through mobile and on the door sales. This means that event organisers can sell tickets right up until the event start time, and they will also be able to manage live allocations, and collect valuable consumer data as they arrive. All of this will be manageable from one, easy to use, central platform. This will be available to all of ticketscript’s new and existing customers in Q1 next year.
The system uses the MPOS solution of Adyen, next generation payment partner of ticketscript, who launched the new solution on Monday. With Adyen, ticketscript offers a wide range of online payment methods to tailor the needs of the event visitors throughout Europe.
Roelant Prins, CCO, Adyen, said “ticketscript is one of the most widely respected providers of ticketing solutions in Europe, and we are delighted that such an innovative, forward-looking company has chosen to implement the Adyen payment solution across ecommerce, mobile and now point-of-sale channels. We firmly believe that enabling Chip & PIN credit and debit card payments with a mobile device brings simplicity, security and complete mobility to point-of-sale commerce. We have been delighted with the enthusiastic reception we have received following the launch of our Shuttle MPOS solution.”
This update will enable ticketscript to provide the most comprehensive self-ticketing service available to event organisers. It also showcases ticketscript’s commitment to embracing the latest industry innovations and integrating them into their tool for the benefit of existing and new customers.
Joep Lecluse, Chief Marketing Officer at ticketscript, “This is an exciting development in the events industry. Not only is it a great new channel for our customers, it is also another way for them to grow, and connect, with the community that they can build around their events”.
