London Juli 2011 – ticketscript announced today that it has introduced Google +1 into their ticketshops, further expanding the social media sharing capability for event ticket sales.
ticketscript, the European leading provider of self-service online and mobile ticketing and promotion solutions announced today that it has introduced Google +1 into their ticketshops, further expanding the social media sharing capability for event ticket sales. ticketscript’s plug-and-play ticketshops will now allow ticket buyers to recommend the ticketshop webpage on the Google search network.
Google +1 is a part of Google Plus, Google’s recently launched social media product. Similar to the Facebook ‘like’ concept, it means you can recommend a webpage in the context of Google search results. Ticket buyers click on the Google +1 button within the ticketshop, signalling interest in displaying and sharing their recommendation of the ticketshop webpage to their social connections and others who may find it relevant.
“ticketscript continues to lead the ticketing industry in optimising the opportunities that social media presents for the events sector.” says Joep Lecluse, Group Marketing Director. “Adding Google +1 to ticketshops means that ticket buyers can now share recommendations to purchase a ticket to an event with their networks through Google, Facebook and Twitter. Social media is an increasingly powerful way of promoting events through word of mouth via ticket buyer networks.”
