Spain is a growing internet market with a population of almost 47 Million people, where the audience is becoming more engaged and going online with greater frequency. One of the key drivers of this increase is the advancement of social media, with sites like Tuenti and Facebook becoming a more and more important part of Spanish Internet users’ daily lives. Social network use via mobile increased 275% in 2010. ticketscript’s online ticketing platform is well placed to service the Spanish ticketing market, especially with their social media integration and mobile ticketing solution.”

One of ticketscript’s first Spanish clients is San Miguel Primavera Sound, which is fast becoming one of the most respected alternative music festivals in the world. The Barcelona event, held annually at the Parc del Forum combines a wide selection of international artists, as well as numerous artists from the Spanish music scene. “We have introduced ticketscript’s Facebook ticketing app to our Facebook fan page to provide our fans with an additional channel to purchase tickets. This is a totally new solution for us, we have not had any problems and we have already sold a lot of tickets. We have also set up a new festival in Porto for 2012- Optimus Primavera Sound and we will also be using ticketscript for Facebook ticketing for this festival. Another first for the festival is the use of mobile tickets, giving our visitors an additional option for their ticket delivery,” said Joan Soley, Festival Co-ordinator, San Miguel Primavera Sound. “Working with ticketscript has meant we have been able to introduce new and innovative ticketing channels and keep up to date with the latest trends in ticketing with mobile tickets and Facebook ticketing.”

“Despite the economic climate we have seen our business grow significantly in both established and new markets. Our solution contributes to cheaper, more efficient and successful ticket sales for event promoters.” says Frans Jonker, Chief Executive Officer ticketscript. “ticketscript has been continuing to grow since its inception in 2006.
