Eurosonic Noorderslag is right around the corner and both the Conference and Festival are completely sold out! Along with our mega tour bus, and a jam-packed agenda consisting of panels, workshops and more, ticketscript will be loud and proud throughout, and we expect this year’s Noorderslag to be the greatest yet.
Here’s a glimpse of our agenda for Noorderslag:
We begin our tour of Groningen on 15 and 16 January at 10:30am. You’ll spot our tour bus at The Infoversum, Oosterpoort, Groningen Central Station and Palace. Check out the tour programme for more information and follow #tsontour for updates on the whereabouts of the ticketscript tour bus.
There are a number of unmissable panels, seminars and workshops. As much as we’d love to be at all of them, we’ve had to choose the ones we’ll be attending. Here’s where you can find us on Thursday and Friday:
Keynote interview with Karsten Jahnke by Allan McGowan (15 January 12pm Oosterpoort)
Karsten Jahnke is a local promoter behind artists such as Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Bob Dylan. He is also a tour manager for Peter Gabriel, White Stripes and Herman’s Hermits. During the panel Jahnke will share his vast experiences and knowledge of 40 years of live music.
Better understanding of your fans and customers (15 January 2pm Oosterpoort)
This panel includes Denis Doeland (founder and owner of management consultancy company DDMCA) and Babs Sturkenboom, and will discuss how event organizers can better understand fans and customers.
Date: What is it good for? (15 January 3.30pm Oosterpoort)
This panel is about the do’s, don’ts and the best ways to use data in the modern music industry. Chris Carey, founder of Insight Media Consulting, gives an overview of the different types of data that are available for artists, labels, agents and promoters.
Customer Lifetime Value seminar (15 January 4.30pm Oosterpoort)
In this seminar, Denis Doeland explains how the how to extract the best results from data.
Q & A Ticketing & the Future (January 16 12pm, Infoversum)
Our own Jason Thomas (Chief Commercial Officer) speaks with Tim Chambers (formerly of Live Nation and Ticketmaster as Senior Vice President and Vice President) and Henk Schuit (Chief Technical Officer Eventim) on the future of ticketing. There’s no doubt this discussion will be interesting and insightful.

Storytelling and brand-building go hand in hand. This panel consists of Piet-Hein Schnellen (Sr. Brand Manager Jack Daniel) and Michiel Cremers (Strategy Director & Managing Director Massive Music), who will provide tips on how to build a strong brand through music and sound.
How Technologies are Influencing the music industry business models (16 January 13:30 Oosterpoort)
This is a one-hour panel on the impact of social media in today’s music industry and how new technologies can be used to reach fans.
After the panels and useful discussions, the evening will be electric with the sound of music. You’ll see many artists and bands perform, and of course, we’ll give a full report on our social media channels.
